1. The theme was to teach us about WW II. It talked about how the Germans occupied the Danes since they surrendered. (I think the Germans occupied the Danes to make sure they didn't make a surprise attack, like if they just said they surrendered: Somewhat like they lied.

1. One of the problems in Number the Stars was that the Soldiers wanted to capture the Jewish people Annemarie and her family helped Ellen and there family. Uncle Henrik took the Jewish people with him on the boat Annemarie was taking a lunch to Uncle Henrik and two Soldiers stoped Annemarie in the woods and the Soldiers had two dogs and the soldiers had the dogs search the lunch bag. 2. I think the story was really good and it was something I enjoyed. Some of the stories like this I usually don't like but I liked Number the Stars. I learned a lot from reading Number the Stars.

Question 1: One of the themes of the story is courage because Annemarie has to save Ellen from getting captured by german soldiers because she was a jew. She had to try to face the german soldiers and help the jews without being caught. Question 2:I thought this book was good because it's full of action and suspense with page turning moments.I would rate it with 4 stars.

The theme of the story called Number the Stars was helping the Jews to safty out of Demark when the Nazis tok of the capital of Denmark. In the story the family of Mrs. Johenson when to Uncle Henrick's house and then Peter and Uncle Henrick reunited Ellen and her parents. In the story before they reunited Ellen and her parents the Peter took Ellen's parents to a hiding place so they were safe when the Germans were looking for the Jews. I think the book should get a four rating. Thank you Mrs. Rentfro for letting us read the book.
